About Embroidery Art

Embroidery Art was founded in 1999, Thames, New Zealand by Maria Stables-Page. Maria started developing these truly magnificent pieces of embroidery art, pushing embroidery beyond the realms of tradition. Out of sheer passion for embroidery and art, her creativity naturally forged the two disciplines.

Maria's work has been accepted for a national exhibition in Wellington and she regularly exhibits both in Thames and across New Zealand. She continues to produce original embroidered art, usually having three pieces on the go at any one time.

Within the next couple of years, Maria will be offering workshops in Embroidery Art, using her own talents as an artist to inspire others to create their own original embroidery art.
